billThe Baltimore Comic-Con is pleased to announce the addition of Fables scribe, Bill Willingham to the growing line-up of creators attending this year’s show. The 14th annual show will take place the weekend of September 7-8, 2013 at the Baltimore Convention Center.

Bill Willingham has been writing, and occasionally drawing, comics for close to 30 years now, and is an accomplished writer of prose fiction as well. He is best known for his work on the following comic book series: Elementals; Ironwood; Coventry; Pantheon; Proposition Player; Shadowpact; Fables and Fairest. Willingham currently lives in the wild and frosty woods of Minnesota.

“As one of the remaining conventions that still remembers what comics are all about, we will also be bringing the Official East Coast Fables Panel to Baltimore Comic-Con!” said Willingham.

Still going strong after more than 10 years, Fables creator Bill Willingham will be joined by Mark Buckingham, Adam Hughes, and more special guests which will be announced as we get closer to the show. The Q&A Panel will give fans access to the creators that have made Fables such a beloved and long-running Vertigo title – and may even offer a few surprises as well!

“We couldn’t be happier to be hosting both Bill and the Official East Coast Fables Panel at this year’s show,” said Marc Nathan, show promoter of the Baltimore Comic-Con. “Fables is consistently one of the best Vertigo books month-in and month-out, and is definitely a fan-favorite! With the franchise growing to include prose novels and an upcoming video game, which joins the comics and graphic novels, Fables has become as much of a classic as the characters themselves.”

Willingham joins our previously announced guests, including: Brian Bolland (Dial H); Mark Buckingham (Fables); Jimmy Cheung (Avengers vs. X-Men); Frank Cho (Savage Wolverine); Amanda Conner (Before Watchmen: Silk Spectre); J.M. DeMatteis (Phantom Stranger); David Finch (Justice League of America); Dave Gibbons (The Secret Service); Keith Giffen (Masters of the Universe); Adam Hughes (Before Watchmen: Dr. Manhattan); Barry Kitson (Empire); Roger Langridge (Popeye); Paul Levitz (World’s Finest); Kevin Maguire (World’s Finest); Mike Mignola (Hellboy In Hell); Jimmy Palmiotti (Batwing); George Perez (World’s Finest); David Petersen (Mouse Guard); Joe Prado (Earth 2); Ivan Reis (Aquaman); Chris Samnee (Daredevil); Louise Simonson (X-Factor); Walt Simonson (The Mighty Thor); Allison Sohn (sketch card artist); and Mark Waid (Indestructible Hulk).
