Supernatural Crime Saga Will Be Available on Digital Platforms in the U.S. Starting March 12, 2014

El Rey Network and Entertainment One Television (eOne) today announced that El Rey’s highly anticipated supernatural crime saga “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series,” set to premiere tonight, will be available to consumers in the U.S. via EST with the following partners: Amazon, iTunes, Sony Playstation, Xbox, Vudu, Google Play, Cinemanow, Blackberry and Target Ticket. Each episode will be made available the day after broadcast, starting tomorrow, March 12, 2014.

Based on the thrill-ride film of the same name, “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series” is centered around bank robber, Seth Gecko (D.J. Cotrona) and his violent, unpredictable brother, Richard “Richie” Gecko (Zane Holtz), who are wanted by the FBI and Texas Rangers Earl McGraw (Don Johnson) and Freddie Gonzalez (Jesse Garcia) after a bank heist left several people dead. While on the run to Mexico, Seth and Richie encounter a former pastor and his family, whom they take hostage. Using the family RV to cross the border, chaos ensues when the group detours to a strip club that is populated by vampires. They are forced to fight until dawn in order to get out alive. The series deepens the tone of the film, adds new characters and backstories and expands the Mesoamerican mythology behind the creatures inside the club.

eOne handles the DVD and EST rights in the U.S. and Canada for El Rey Network’s “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series,” and exclusively represents worldwide distribution rights (with the exception of U.S. broadcast network rights) for “Matador” and other original scripted series created for the U.S. based cable network, to be announced.
