Well…it finally happened. After months and months of awesomely filled issues of Previews, a month finally arrived where your friendly neighborhood jman is just not feeling it.  Suresuresure.  There’s still well over 550 pages of comic book madness in June’s catalog.  But, it still feels a bit…lackluster.

I’m not the kind to let a little lack of luster stop me from entertaining my reader, though.  Hells no!  I searched that catalog up and down to find, well…some fairly decent stuff.  Enough about me and the dirty work.  Let’s just get to the product.

Multiversity-1-August-2014-DC-Comics-New-52-Solicitations-new-Power-Ring-Jessica-Cruz

Multiversity #1:  DC comics.  Ahhhh…Grant Morrison.  Fan favorite Grant Morrison.  The same Grant Morrison that left me scratching my head at his run on Action Comics.  Yea.  I don’t know what to say about Multiversity.  I don’t know what to make of it.  I put it on this list cause if I didn’t, the Comic Book Gods would strike me down.  Then revoke my comic book fan license.  So…I’ll put in my obligatory one issue.  And see where it goes from there.  Just don’t be surprised if I jump ship.  Real quick like.

SMDOOM-Cv2-e8ce1

Superman Doomed:  DC comics.  Yea.  I’m digging it.  I like what’s going on.  Although, when I look at Doomed Superman for some reason I feel like that’s how Bizarro should look.  But…that’s neither here nor there.  What I’m really looking forward too?  DC Collectibles putting out an oversized Doomed Superman figure.  You guys over at DC Collectible heard me?  Let’s get to work on that.  I’ll be ready to see the final product at Toy Fair 2015.  No pressure!

DC Universe Son of Batman figures:  DC Collectibles.  Every one of these, thank you kindly.  Accept Batman.  None of us really need another New52 styled Batman, do we?

POP-1-CVR

Pop #1:  Dark Horse.  Check out this solict from Previews:  “What if the world’s pop stars and celebrities were literally products, grown by the world’s wealthiest (and most depraved) minds – and one of them escaped?”  Man!  That just screams twisted. Needless to say, I’m on board.

PeterMilliganterminal_hero_1_blueCover

Terminal Hero #1:  Dynamite.  Now this is where Jae Lee’s art really works for me.  On a title like this.  Not so much on Superman/Batman.  It’s just a shame he’s only the cover artist.  Still…interesting concept for the book.  Kinda reminiscent of Titan Comic’s Death Sentence.  Either way, I’m picking up the book.

Superior Spider-Man #32:  Marvel.  Ock?!!?  You…you’re back?!?!  Say it is so!  I know.  I know.  Iknowiknowiknow.  It’s just a stunt.  An offshoot.  An Elseworlds.  Right?!?!  Sigh…I miss you Spider-Ock.  You and your arrogance were a lot of fun.

300px-Original_Sin_Vol_1_8_Textless

Original Sin #8:  Marvel.  Three issues in, I’m kinda digging it.  Even though, that ending of issue three is a total red herring. C’mon!  You know it’s true.  And one can only wonder, at this point, where #8 is gonna lead us.

Hawkeye Minimalist Shirt:  We Love Fine.  Been wanting this shirt for a long time.  But, spending upwards of 30 bucks for it?  Ummmm…no thanks. 18 on the other hand?  That price is for me!
