Picking up the pace from the last issue, but still leaving much to be desired.
The stylistic change in the artwork is unwarranted and, for me personally, unwelcome.
As the posse, a new group of metahumans struggles to keep Dr. Reyes safe from a new threat, Jaime is less than pleased with the attack on his mother. Little does he know, the attack was only meant to draw him out. After a short and dismissing battle with casualties to the posse, Jaime is realizing exactly what the Scarab means to forces he didn’t even know exist.
I honestly don’t know how this series will recover with only 1 issue remaining. I greatly enjoyed the first 3, but these last 2; I can’t see them saving this story.
