Saturday, May 6 is Free Comic Book Day, and DC Entertainment is proud to share with fans our favorite heroines of DC!

In anticipation of the June 2 big screen debut of Wonder Woman, writer Greg Rucka and artist Nicola Scott share a story of her origins. This tale of how Wonder Woman came to leave Paradise Island, in order to help save the world from death and destruction, is part one of the upcoming graphic novel WONDER WOMAN VOL. 2: YEAR ONE, due out on May 3.

Then it’s time to “Get Your Cape On” with a sneak peak of the next volume of DC SUPER HERO GIRLS: SUMMER OLYMPUS, courtesy of Shea Fontana and Yancey Labat, coming everywhere books are sold July 11. In this newest original graphic novel, catch up with the students of Super Hero High School as they find out that fun, friendship and hard work are all parts of growing up.

Retailers worldwide will be providing both of these comics to fans on Free Comic Book Day, including a possible Gold or Silver edition of Wonder Woman (check with your local comic book shop to confirm).
