Fan Convention Hosts Comics Legend And Moves To Oncenter
Syracuse’s Salt City Comic-Con is proud to announce legendary comic artist Neal Adams as their 2017 Guest of Honor.

A groundbreaking artist, Adams established a photo realistic style for comics, perfected in newspaper strips, that continues today. The popular artist also helped establish a new tone for Batman, in the wake of the camp 60s series that has become the version embraced by fandom, Hollywood and the world at large.A prolific artist, Adams’ innovative work on characters such as Green Arrow, Green Lantern, the X-Men, Superman and The Avengers, as well as his own characters from Continuity Studios, are well-loved by fans.
Syracuse’s Salt City Comic-Con, celebrating its fourth, moves to downtown’s Oncenter this year during June 24th and 25th. This pop-culture convention focuses on comics, toys, games, cosplay and collectibles.
“The Salt City Comic-Con is extremely happy to announce that we will have the one and only legendary comic artist Neal Adams at our convention this year,” said Convention Organizer Thomas Yeldon. “Neal is one of the most impactful comic book artist of all time and we are honored to bring him to Syracuse, New York. Neal is considered by many to be the greatest Batman artist of all time and continues to deliver top-notch art on titles like Kamandi and Harley Quinn.”
Prior to the convention, on Thursday, June 23, 2017, Larger Than Life Toys and Comics will be welcoming Neal Adams to Syracuse with a sneak peek in-store signing. Larger Than Life’s main store is located in the Great Northern Mall just north of Syracuse in Clay, NY.
“Neal is not only a phenomenal artist, but he’s also a hard-working entrepreneur and an outspoken advocate for creator’s rights,” said Ed Catto, Pop Culture Expert & Marketing Executive. “Neal’s visit to Central New York is long overdue and we’re thrilled to give fans this chance to meet an industry legend at such a fun and manageable convention.”
