BOOM! Studios releases an old school movie in the 80s of Bill & Ted.

To be fair, I never heard of the Bill & Ted movies like “Excellent Adventure” because I wasn’t born in the 80s. Another thing is that I wouldn’t careless to read this comic because it’s more like an imaginary world from two teenagers who happens to go time-traveling on a telephone booth out of nowhere. Also, it’s more like a rock-band fantasy for those teenagers. But the adventures continues on this first issue of the comic.

Bill and Ted traveled through time many times more than Marty and Doc Brown’s time-traveling experience with a Delorean. But to them, they seemed very silly by running into bad guys and doing victory poses while playing air guitars and saying “Excellent.” They traveled to various places like the gothic era, Dracula’s mansion, and other places until the people in their timeline prepared a surprise party for Bill and Ted for their anniversary celebration. When some couple of aliens who took them in custody, but they have been rescued by Bill and Ted’s mom. How will they ever solve their mystery? Why is Bill and Ted’s mom are doing in the timeline? What kind of adventures will come next for the teenagers?

My reactions to this is that like I said, I’ve never watched any Bill and Ted movies, except for the video game review by the Angry Video Game Nerd on YouTube. I actually found out to be more amusing to see the teenagers run wild throughout the timeline. The teenagers wanted to become rock stars, but when they went time-traveling they met some new friends along the way of their journey. However, all of the time-traveling that they went through is to finish up writing a history report assignment from school. But now, they are going to fight against the aliens to save the universe, and this would be the newest chapter of Bill and Ted ever yet to see. The illustrations are very well designed even there are some strange creatures that are more or less intimidating that ever seen, the teenagers were more energetic right before and after their anniversary party. The character designs are excellent, and the story almost seemed to fit just like in the film. And I hope to see what happens next when Bill and Ted fight for the universe on the next issue.
