IDW Comics releases an actual graphic novel which is much more than school life or during summer time, and everything which will see that is like a dream, a dream land graphic novel called Home Time.
From what I see what this book is about, the book created by an Australian Cartoonist Campbell Whyte who has so much imagination for making this book. However, it’s about some kids were on their last day of summer before high school, and somehow Lilly and David and his friends had a sleepover until they woke up in a fantasy world. The story actually combines with fantasy themed stories like Dungeons & Dragons or the Final Fantasy games, she actually made a touch to transform into a fantasy world out of this book.
The book almost reminded me about one of my favorite role-playing games like Final Fantasy Tactics, because somehow the story takes you to the children with their ordinary lives at school and after school and someone bought a book which is all occult themed and fantasy like. But the book has special powers that can transform the modern world to a different world from one magic book. This is much more similar to the graphic novel, in this story, the children spent their last summer days spending time with friends when suddenly, they dragged into a different world swallowed by the river. And what they’re surrounded is an Amazonian/Aztec world with half naked creatures. This is much more imagination that the author has drawn on this comic, because the difference is that some imaginations turn to reality, so as this world because the author created a huge world filled with nature and random creatures just to get the readers excited, and it’s wonderful that way that imagination is far wild from human mind and emotions. But that’s not all, whenever time flies by, the world actually changes, and I’m not making anything up, because what you see on this book is more like survival of the fittest in this world and also goes for the art style that suddenly changed into some game pixel world like you’re playing an actual RPG game.
Long story short, the artist made this book a lot more different from any other RPGs that I’ve played, however, his art style suddenly changes to normal, to a game pixel art, a little color rendered style of art, and so much more. It’s actually good for the kids to read, but it also has some blood gore on it. Their world is a strange place, even if the children entered into a different dimension, I guess this is more like the cousin of Dragon Tales. Either way, the artist used so much of information and creativity to create this amazing graphic novel, because of all RPG gamers, anyone would try to look forward reading this book because this more enough to describe a story as a fairy tale, but the truth is that the story has more adventures than any other book that I’ve read.
