In the not so distant future, Dick Grayson’s son recounts his father’s tale of when he almost rid the world of metahumans.

As Nightwing,  Dick used a weapon that wiped out almost all of the metahumans who threatened to overthrow the dominant position of humans on the top of the evolutionary chart. Now, years later Nightwing is retired and Dick Grayson is in charge of a task force whose mission is to keep Control of those who weren’t affected and need to take inhibitors daily to keep their powers under Control. Dick can’t stop himself from getting involved and chasing the bad guy over rooftops and the like even though he no longer has to.

His whole life has been pretty straightforward in its conviction of right and wrong and doing what needs to be done to protect others but will he be able to cope with the bombshell dropped on him at the end of the issue??

I love the concept of this book and the style is cool but it’s difficult seeing Nightwing in the situation he’s in, almost dictatorially in his need to eradicate the superhero genre as if it never existed.
