Goddamn, it Priest! I liked you too! It’s only issue 2, and already I am so invested in these characters that I literally feel the betrayal!!
Maybe I’ve always felt there was something off about Priest even all the way back in issue 1 but was blinded to it, self-pity caught up the same way En was, we had to believe it was real, something good but no. It was such a harsh reveal as well fair play in the writing of the scene it just completely 180’s the story.
Issue 1 was all about En forcing a life out of the sh*tty cards she had been dealt and now issue 2 has dealt a massive gut shot I cannot wait to see issue 3, how will En deal with t? Will she get angry and seek revenge or self-pity for a bit? And absolute brilliant comic so far with a beautifully horrendous backdrop and such a classic tale of forbidden love now shattered at Ens feet leading to some really emotionally charged panels as she tries to rid herself of Priests Tattoo. I dont think I have ever become so connected to a character after just two issues and I didnt really realise that I was until THAT text message! I….I…. I dont want to talk about it!
