Coyotes issue 3 takes us into more lore, gore, with other things in store!
So far in Coyotes, we know that coyotes run free, terrorizing women. As a result, women have banded together in organized groups to survive. A police officer, trying to help one girl, Red, has been captured.
This issue, written by Sean Lewis with art by Caitlin Yarsky, sends us deeper into the story. Who are the coyotes, and how did they get to be the trapped and haunted predators they are? Who is the torturer, and who is the tortured? Why is the girl Red the chosen one? More about the duchess and grandmother!
A secondary story, by the same creative team, fills in a few blanks about the coyotes.
Another well thought out issue, in this intelligent series. Its dark tone and somber drawings are well suited to the tale at hand. Until next issue then!
