The Blood Queen is looking to be more than a handful for our misfit trio and they are on the backstep for most of the issue.
I genuinely love the connection between Vampirella and Vlad him fainting at the sight of her in her skimpy outfits and her calling him her angel its just brilliant, Vlad deserves a little romantic attention! saying that he is getting rather a lot of unwanted attention from the Blood Queen as well who knew Vlad could be a playa, certainly not Vlad anyway!
It wouldn’t be a Cassie Hack tale without it going from bad to worse in an almost comical way and I had to laugh at the desert scene, any other desert and they would have been home free but no they had to be in the Las Vegas desert didn’t they. Another thing I love about this comic is the sparring between Cassie and Vampirella they are just trying to wind each other up and my favourite part is the mounting frustration in the line “I’m not that kind of Vampire” every time she has to repeat it! Classic!
The final panel sets up an epic faceoff for next issue too with Vlad summing it up beautifully for the Blood Queen, you cant say she wasn’t warned!
