The Society is honored to have illustrator JooHee Yoon as this year’s artist for the sixteenth annual MoCCA Arts Festival. This beautiful image will appear on signage and merchandise at the MoCCA Arts Festival, to be held on April 7th and 8th, 2018 at the spacious and modern Metropolitan West located at 639 West 46th Street in Manhattan.

JooHee Yoon has a close relationship with the Society of Illustrators, beginning with her appearance in the Student Scholarship while enrolled at Rhode Island School of Design. She is the recipient of a gold medal from the Society’s Illustrators Annual, and her work was featured on the Illustrators 57 Call for Entries. Since graduating, JooHee Yoon has contributed regularly to such notable publications as The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Washington Post, Warby Parker, NPR, Mother Jones, among others. She has received numerous awards including a  Bologna Book Fair Ars en Fabula Grant, Nami Concours Gold Island Award, and was recognized as an ADC Young Gun in 2015. Her books include Beastly Verse; The Steadfast Tin Soldier; and The Tiger Who Would Be King (all published by Enchanted Lion Books), a 2015 New York Times best illustrated picture book.
