Tickets to NJ’s Coolest Comic Con, the Garden State Comic Fest (GSCF): Morristown Edition, are now available online at www.GardenStateComicFest.com. The event will take place on Saturday & Sunday, July 7th & 8th at the William G. Mennen Sports Arena in Morristown, NJ.

As usual GSCF will feature tons of comics and comic book art from the Golden Age to the Modern era of comics, this year’s convention will also feature top-flight cosplayers, panels, fun activities and celebrity voice actors like Keone Young and Mary McDonald Lewis. “Both voiced iconic characters Storm Shadow and Lady Jay regularly on the G.I. Joe cartoon series,” says Danielle Pierson, GSCF Director of Vendor Relations.

In addition to signing autographs and taking photos with fans, they will be the feature panelists on a “Voice-Over Acting Q & A.”   Among the other panels offered at GSCF are “How to become a Con, Artist” which will provide advice about methodologies and tactics that are crucial to becoming a successful comic con artist, and a panel discussing “The State of the Comic Book Industry” where comic shop owners talk about the industry today and what is in store for the future of collecting and the industry as a whole.

GSCF Co-Owner Dave O’Hare tells us, “Adults and kids alike will revel at the chance to yield a Light Saber like a real Star Wars Jedi at the Light Saber classes led by the world famous Jedi’s of the Saber Guild Corellia!”

The other Co-Owner of GSCF, Sal Zurzolo adds that “Costumes are welcomed at GSCF and everyone is encouraged to enter the Kid or Adult costume contest, better known as the Garden State Cosplay Showdown.” Contestants can pose and possibly win cash prizes, tickets to future cons and a Build-A-Bear for the little ones. In addition, professional cosplayers will be on hand showing off their latest costumes, taking photos with fans and giving advice on costume making to anyone interested.

For the first time GSCF will be bringing in fun and games from Morristown’s very own escape room, the Trap Door. The Trap Door will have a special tent set-up outside to give attendees a taste of an escape room adventure.

GSCF has carefully selected over 75 pop culture collectible, Pop, Lego, toy, art, statue, gaming, craft and jewelry vendors from the superhero, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, anime and fantasy genres to appear alongside many of the artists and writers who created them.

“GSCF also has the A-Team Van and the Knight Rider Kitt car appearing for fans to see and take photos with,” says Evan Goldstein, GSCF General Manager.

The family friendly comic fest allows all children 11 and under FREE Entry. There will be plenty of FREE parking for attendees.

Tickets are available on-line and at the door while supplies last.
