I am not entirely sure how to fully get across just how awesome this comic is.
I love this from the very first page! The colourfulness and detail of the artwork is incredible its so vibrant and fun straight away as our hero bursts out of his house ready to face a new school day. The characters are immediately recognizable in their roles the plucky trio of friends who are tormented by the typical high school bully Rufus, the bus run and new school take on a darker feel as its obvious the story is going to follow the trios troubles with how to avoid Rufus and his torment and then……
The story totally flips and all of a sudden you don’t know who you should be rooting for, it’s awesome! I kind of knew I was going to like this comic I mean come on its Skottie Young but it has even surpassed what I was expecting from it. The bullying is seen from the vantage point of the victim and is embellished to the max like when Rufus spits chewing gum at Ernie, Ernie becomes a gum monster covered from head to toe in gum the tension and threat of danger is palpable and I can’t wait to see what goes on in the next issue
