A puntastic first issue of Old Lady Harley sees Harley and Red Tool battle against the odds in a futuristic mad max style world.
First off I need to say I am starting to feel a little sorry for the Penguin, that’s both Red Hood AND Harley killed him or at least tried to, maybe he should take the hint! The issue jumps straight into the action as it kicks off in a restaurant in a way that only Red Tool could possibly manage and it only really gets worse from there.
There is a real Warriors vibe as the duo come up against outlandish gangs as they make their way across the country which I absolutely love the clockwork orange style (and pun) and the monster hurler 3000 seems a massive improvement on the monster hurler 2500. Red Tools puns are fast, frequent and funny as he seems unfazed at everything they find thrown at them, maybe he’s just happy that he has ended up at the side of his dream lady.
It will be interesting to see how much trouble they can get themselves into next issue and if Red Tool can keep the puns flowing without Harley killing him.
