If you want non-stop action and lots of explosions, spend a bit of time with Cemetary Beach, issue 3!

This title from Image is written by Warren Ellis, and illustrated by Jason Howard. It’s pure rock’em and sock’em! We catch up on the back story as we catch our breath.. but I’ll keep this review brief and terse, just like the comic: if you want about ten minutes of great solid comic action without a lot of ‘puff and chatter’, this is the one for you!

The drawings are excellent, and adrenaline shoots through the pages with such force, you’ll actually THANK Ellis for a break to read some words!

Story? Oh, yeah. Uh, well, a professional pathfinder breaks out of a torture cell and escapes on foot across an off-world colony. He is accompanied by a young murderess. Then: kabammm!!! Pursuit!

After a career of graphic design, art direction and copywriting, I still have a passion for words and pictures. I love it when a comic book comes together; the story is tight, and the drawings lead me forward. Art with words... the toughest storytelling technique to get right. Was this comic book worth your money? Let's see!!
