If you want your pulse accelerated for about 5 minutes, grab a seat. Pick up the latest issue of Cemetery Beach. Number 4 is out this week, from Image. Get reading.

Writer Warren Ellis and artist Jason Howard really know how to lay on the amps. This issue starts by laying out the scene: The chief is assigned to chase the two fugitives to the coast: Cemetery Beach. By page five, it’s pedal to the metal, full throttle action. With minimal dialogue, no foolishness, and little in the way of subtext and ambiguous meandering, it’s just adrenalin-pumping explosions, fights and fury. Volume is at 11!

It’s a workout in a comic. it’s like espresso coffee mixed with Kombucha in a can of nitro. Feels good and feels kinda volatile….

After a career of graphic design, art direction and copywriting, I still have a passion for words and pictures. I love it when a comic book comes together; the story is tight, and the drawings lead me forward. Art with words... the toughest storytelling technique to get right. Was this comic book worth your money? Let's see!!
