Image Comics releases a graphic novel about another occult that appeared out of nowhere in Cold Spots.

What happens when you played the full walkthrough of Slender man, Outlast and Persona 4, just to bring you some of the most frightening stories that you’ve ever witnessed? This graphic novel is like going back on checking your local weather report in New York if it’s going to be a blizzard or something for next week. But no, you feel like you’re watching a Disney movie, Frozen all over again because this comic is going to give you full of nightmares.

The story goes like this, it’s the winter season, and everything is cold as shit. But what is weirder is that mostly the people that you are seeing around turned into frozen ghosts. What sorcery is this comic? It describes that this comic took place ten years ago that a man named Dan Kerr walked out on his wife and an unborn daughter as if he made an imaginary friend at his own age. The problem is that Dan was investigating for his missing daughter. Even if he wants to find his daughter, he discovered some of the darkest things in town that he ever got involved. Some of the people became ghosts, even his daughter.

Surely that Dan and Alyssa have some serious issues with each other, but even if she introduced to his daughter, she is pale, cold as ice. What you’re about to read is much more intense than any other comic you’ve ever read. This comic is among the most disturbing things in comic book history. This is like the hallucination of an NYPD cop in Brooklyn Blood, the annoying Megumi Jinno in Eromanga Sensei, the death lake in the Occultic Nine anime, Jackson’s corrupted family in Wytches Halloween Special. Dear god, where does all of this come from with such a story like that?

By the way, rescuing his daughter doesn’t change anything, even if everyone who is protecting her is trying to kill Dan. But going through with some of the strangest experiences between the most uncomfortable climate which most likely Mr. Freeze is trying to create. Everything in town is always that cold and the ghosts are surrounding the town like parasites.

I got to say, the artwork is very realistic, to begin with, but going through with the plot of the story which everything is cold is much more than drawing someone who is freezing to death. The character designs are flawless, I mean take a look at Grace, her face is cold as ice, she even tries to control the ghosts as if it was for her. At the end of the comic, you’ll see some of the art cover issues and character designs were drawn by Mark Torres which seemed to be more realistic than reading the comic. His background is that he likes to play music with his guitar and tries to attempt to compose one of his songs in order to make a soundtrack out of this comic, it’s really clever I got to say. But Cold Spots is actually one of the most terrifying horror comics that you’ve ever witnessed before in your life. If you rather want to read the whole graphic novel about the cold and the ghosts then this comic is just for you.
