Mattel celebrates Batman’s 80th in a big way
In case you haven’t heard, at the end of this year, Mattel loses the license for DC Comics boys toys. So it seems like Mattel wanted to go out on a high note.
With their Imaginext line, they are offering a Walmart exclusive with Imaginext Batman in card backs with various costumes of Batman like his first appearance and a Green Lantern Batman. 5 in all. Plus a set of 5 Batman figures in one box. On top of this is a remote controlled Batmobile with technology that’s a little more smarter then we’ve seen before in Imaginext.
In their Little People collection, they are having WWE wrestlers, and of course my personal favorite, the Beatles from the animated Yellow Submarine movie!
It also seems like we are getting a final line of DC Multiverse figures with more Batman. Characters include a Michael Keaton Batman, Batman the Animated Series Poison Ivy, Red Robin from DC Comics Rebirth line, Riddler, and Joker. Also a line of 13inch figures.
Mattel is also continuing the WWE collection as well as the Jurassic World line.
Mattel will be bouncing back faster than we realize.
