Well, I missed the first issue of Faithless, the new title from BOOM. So, how’s issue 2?

Brian Azzarello and Marian Llovet bring us (in their words): An erotic depiction of faith, sex, and the devil in the tradition of the divine comedy.

Heavy stuff, and so let’s see what’s under the hood!

Faith. a slim young white female has apparently jumped into the bedroom of the Art World. As she awakes, her companion, Poppy, is nowhere to be found. So Faith wanders into a nearby exclusive party, where inhibitions are being stripped away. Things get twisted around, reawakened, stimulated, and ambiguously handled. Faith is having social adventures, sometimes without her clothes or full awareness of her surroundings!

It’s adult fun, full of rousing cheers and beckoning desires. The artwork is nicely done, reminiscent of European comics in the line drawings and colouring.

BOOM, Faithless #2, assume $3.99, 22 pages of content Rated Mature, sexual content and language. Explicit variant covers available.

After a career of graphic design, art direction and copywriting, I still have a passion for words and pictures. I love it when a comic book comes together; the story is tight, and the drawings lead me forward. Art with words... the toughest storytelling technique to get right. Was this comic book worth your money? Let's see!!
