Tickets to NJ’s Coolest Comic Con, the Garden State Comic Fest (the Fest): Morristown Edition, are available online at www.GardenStateComicFest.com. The event will take place on Saturday & Sunday, June 29th & 30th at the William G. Mennen Sports Arena in Morristown, NJ.

This year the Fest is Back to 2 Giant Rooms – The Villains Room is back to join the Heroes Room with over 75,000 square feet of floor space!

General Manager, Evan Goldstein says, “This year we will again feature tons of comics and comic book art from the Golden Age to the Modern era of comics. We will also feature cosplayers, panels, and celebrities like Smallville’s Jimmy Olsen, actor Aaron Ashmore, Stan Lee’s first Marvel Editorial successor Roy Thomas, several members of GWAR, rock stars turned comic creators and cosplayer Sharon Rose!”

Also joining us this year are voice actors Allen Oppenheimer and Michael Bell. “Both voiced iconic characters, Allen is best known for voicing Skeletor on “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” and Michael is known for voicing Duke and numerous others on the G.I. Joe cartoon series,” says Danielle Pierson, Director of Vendor Relations. In addition to signing autographs and taking photos with fans, they will be the feature panelists on a “Voice-Over Acting Q & A.”  Among the other panels offered at the Fest are “The Villains List” which will explore the strange, silly and downright insane world of comic book villains and “Wolverines don’t howl: what comics get wrong (and right) about animal & plant abilities” a presentation led by a marine biologist and a plant biologist.

Fest Co-Owner Dave O’Hare tells us, “Adults and kids again enjoy the chance to yield a Light Saber like a real Star Wars Jedi at the Light Saber classes led by the world famous Jedi’s of the Saber Guild Corellia! Kids can also enjoy free drawing lessons. Adults and children can wear their costumes during the Cosplay On Ice skating session too.”

The other Co-Owner of the Fest, Sal Zurzolo adds that “Costumes are welcomed and everyone is encouraged to enter the Kid or Adult costume contest, which we call the Garden State Cosplay Showdown.” Contestants can pose and possibly win cash prizes, tickets to future cons and a Build-A-Bear for the little ones. In addition, professional cosplayers will be on hand showing off their latest costumes, taking photos with fans and giving advice on costume making to anyone interested.

The Fest has carefully selected over 125 pop culture collectible, Pop, Lego, toy, art, statue, gaming, craft and jewelry vendors from the superhero, fantasy, sci-fi, horror, anime and fantasy genres to appear alongside many of the artists and writers who created them.

The family friendly comic fest allows all children 11 and under FREE Entry. There will be plenty of FREE parking for attendees.
