Wow, what a first issue, a dark brooding foray into Magic that draws you straight in.
So many questions after just 1 issue, loads happens in it already and some really big shocks that create a really engrossing gothic tale. It’s clear that magic is going to play a big part of the story and not your fairytale bibbity bobbity boo magic but rather satanic dark blood magic, the good stuff.
I love the artwork, its almost like a watercolour and creates a really dark atmospheric look that hypnotizes you and draws you into the story. I cant wait to see how Aris story develops and if being saved is the best thing for her or if shes just jumped from the frying pan straight into the fire! And whether Roman Black can deal with a few angry magicians and pick a successor in time for his descent or if he will lose everything by picking the wrong side.
