Has Saffron bitten off more than she can Chu?
I just love this story, its so clever in even the slightest detail. I love how the entire Chu family seems to have differing abilities when it comes to food and each one is brilliant but would be impossible to deal with on a daily basis. Saffron can’t hide anything from her sister Sage as her ability allows her to see the same as whomever she has just eating with! It’s crazy but just perfect for the story I mean of course they can, they’re twins.
I think my favourite thing about this story is that it would have been very easy to just do a prequel of Chew and everyone would have loved it but this is even better. We now get a whole new story and the prequel part is almost background noise, if you haven’t read Chew then you enjoy Saffron’s brother getting a new partner, awesome, but if you have read Chew then it’s a massive moment where Tony gets HIS partner!
I am fully invested now and although Mr. Murder is clearly the bad guy here it has to be said that what Eddie just pulled makes him a grade A PoS. It makes a great cliffhanger ending but still, douche move Eddie douche move!
