The Nacelle Company, the studio behind Netflix’s The Toys That Made Us, A Toy Store Near You, The Movies That Made Us, Behind The Attraction on Disney+, and Down To Earth with Zac Efron have announced that they’ve launched a toy division aimed at preserving nostalgic franchises and introducing them to new generations.
The Nacelle Company has been busy acquiring IPs such as The Great Garloo, Power Lords, Robo Force and more, while producing and selling consumer products for those franchises that include soft goods, collectibles, books, physical media and more. In 2021, the company hired acclaimed toy designer and artist, David Vonner, to head their toy design division.
As of 2022, Nacelle has introduced their first wave of action figures from their upcoming Robo Force toy line, including Wrecker, Hun-Dred and Maxx Steele. The company recently partnered with Funko to release a Great Garloo Funko Pop that is limited to 1000 pieces and exclusive to the Emerald City Comic Con. Nacelle Company is also partnering with Super7 to expand on The Great Garloo’s ReAction figure line. In 2021, Nacelle acquired the iconic toy brand, Marx Toys, with plans to revamp the ‘Magic of Marx’ and showcase its notable properties by developing a collection of toys, books and other lifestyle products.
In addition to their development of Garloo, Robo Force and more, Nacelle Company announced in 2021 that they’ve partnered with Super7 to revive the beloved 80s animated franchise, Silverhawks, for television.
The entire slate of the Nacelle Store merchandise can be found on NacelleStore.com.
“A lot of what we do at Nacelle is pop-culture and toy-centric, so it seemed like a leap into the toy developing and manufacturing industry was an obvious opportunity we wanted to explore and that we believe we can have fun in,” said Nacelle Company CEO Brian Volk-Weiss.
