Behold…The Vision
Diamond Select has recently released a Marvel Select figure based on the Vision. Now if you are not familiar with the Vision, he first appeared back in Avengers #57 and was created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema. The Vision is a android that was created by the villainous robot Ultron. He has a myriad of powers including super-strength, density control, and energy blasts. The figure is a solid figure as you always get with all Marvel Selects. 7 inches tall with 16 points of articulation.
This figure is based on Vision’s iconic/classic look. The paint job is a little muted for the Vision. Usually in the comics, it’s brighter. Plus I do see some paint bleed. The green shows through some of the yellow. It probably has to do with the type of paint they used.
The sculpt is basic, but very nice. Really capturing the Vision. There is a second head and the sculpt is odd there. An angry face with gritting teeth. It looks a little weird to me.
Vision does come with some accessories as well. He comes with an open right hand. A left hand that looks like it’s blocking an energy blast. He has a energy circle that goes easily between the wrist and hand. This is to simulate his phasing power. Finally he comes with an energy blast. This fits into the angry head. You just pop out the gem on his forehead and then just plug it in. It’s a nice effect.
My complaints on the Vision figure are minor. They do not take away from the awesomeness of this figure.
This is seriously a must have for your collection.
