The boundary pushing show returns for a second volume to explore the Star Wars Universe.

Made up of 9 new shorts, various animation studios from around the world, explore life beyond the Star Wars movies and TV shows. Each short is about 15 to 20 mins long, and all quite enjoyable.

The writing is strong and are able to tell a story with a beginning, middle, and end. Some of them really convey a sense of suspense, while others show a side of humor. Each one really stirs up some type of emotion.

I really like this series. I love the way it looks at this world that George Lucas created, and expands on it.

The different animations styles really make this series. You have some animation, anime, stop-motion, and my personal favorite, clay from Aardman, who are well known for Wally & Gromit. Each style adds it’s own layer of depth.

This truly is a great anthology series. Different stories and different points of view all set in the same universe. And each director still get to keep their individual voice.

“Star Wars: Visions” Volume 2 streams exclusively on Disney+ beginning May 4, 2023.
