First 24-Hours Returns Has Campaign Trending Towards Crowdfunding Record!

$50K STRETCH GOAL ANNOUNCED – OMNIBUS WILL BE OVERSIZED!

Comic fans from around the world have propelled Crusade Comics’ new Shi: Senryaku Omnibus Indiegogo towards $50,000.00 in the campaign’s opening 24-hours. According to survey and data management platform, BackerKit, the 240-page hardcover edition is trending towards $240,000.00 in returns once its 29-day campaign duration closes on July 3rd.

When the Indiegogo campaign hits $50,000.00, the 240-page Shi: Senryaku Omnibus Edition will be drastically enlarged from its traditional 6.58” X 10.25” comic book dimensions to the oversized 7.75” X 11.25”. The upgrade is the same sizing as Marvel and DC Comics Premium Omnibus’ and make Senryaku a perfect companion to the similarly oversized Shi: Omnibus Vol. 1.

“We cannot thank our backers enough.” Stated Crusade Comics’ Executive Director Deborah Tucci. “We are overjoyed with the response to Senryaku and look forward to unlocking all the fantastic stretch goals we have planned.”

Senryaku features the Art of War’s Thirty-Six Stratagems gloriously interpreted by legendary comic artists detailing the life lessons of a young Ana Ishikawa (aka, Shi) as taught to her by her grandfather. The groundbreaking 1995 series was written by Blue Devil and Amethyst creator Gary Cohn and illustrated by such greats as Jim Lee, Amanda Conner, Joe Quesada, George Perez, Billy Tucci, Frank Frazetta, Adam Hughes and many more.

It is also the first time that over half of Senryaku’s art will be seen as Crusade showcases the various stages of each contributing artists’ creative process. The omnibus will include much never-before published works, including rough sketches, original black and white artwork, and final color.
