The Venture Bros. return in a new full length feature film.

Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart takes place sometime after the season 7 finale, where Dean slept with Hank’s girlfriend, and Hank runs away.

Brock Samson (Patrick Warburton), with OSI, is searching for Hank (Chris McCulloch), but Hank seems to be one step ahead of them. Meanwhile Dr. Mrs. the Monarch (Doc Hammer) is trying to determine if the Monarch (McCulloch) and Dr. Venture (James Urbaniak) are related. While this is all happening,

Dean (Michael Sinterniklaas) is feeling a massive amount of guilt for what he did. He recruits the help of Dr. Orpheus (Steven Rattazzi) to track down Hank.

Dr. Venture, greedy as always, builds an Alexa type devise called H.E.L.P.eR. Pod. But as always, the good doctor is not as smart as he likes to think he is.

Hank, on the other hand, is on a journey of self-discovery.

How all this comes together is what needs to be seen.

I’m a huge fan of the Venture Bros. seen I saw the original pilot in 2003, and kind of hated how everything ended on a cliffhanger in 2018. So to have this film that wraps everything up is so refreshing. I made sure I watched the entire series before I watched this film.

All the voice actors seamless slip back into their characters. It was so refreshing. Everyone was seriously spot on.

The script was solid. The entire movie closes the Venture Bros. circle, which kind of leaves me with mixed feelings. I love this show, so it finally ending bums me out. But it was a great wrap up. It definitely went out on a high note. The humor and action are stop on as always.

The animation was what you expected from the Venture Bros. Nice and clean. Looks great on the screen.

The film does have one bonus feature. It’s called Hodgman and Friends. Actor John Hodgeman has a sit down with Venture Bros. creators Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick. This was a fun segment with some silly questions and some real questions. It was very enjoyable. What was very interesting about this segment is this was actually shown in NYC taxis. The feature is 50 mins, so I have no clue how anyone could watch the entire feature in a cab. But if you have this at home, you can watch the entire film.

The Venture Bros.: Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart is a must watch. It really does a great job in ending the Venture Bros. saga. But hopefully this isn’t in the end.

The Venture Bros.: Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart is now available on digital download and available on Blu-Ray July 25.
