They’re back baby!

The 11th season of everyone’s favorite interplanetary delivery crew! Futurama is back! But it almost wasn’t. Hulu at first didn’t hammer out a contract with John DiMaggio, who voices Bender, one of the main characters. Thank the stars Hulu did give DiMaggio a contract. And now he rejoins his co-stars Billy West, who plays Phillip J. Fry, and Katey Sagal, who voices Leela.

I have been a huge fan of Futurama since it first aired, and stuck by it with the multiple cancelation and returns. So now that everything is worked out, all there is to do is enjoy season 11.

And it is enjoyable. The pacing and the jokes are there. Plus after all these years the characters have been nicely flushed out. The only thing that changed is just a little improvement to animation. Nice and clean.

It is so nice to hear West, Sagal, and DiMaggio together again. I know they probably don’t record at the same time, but they really sound like they are playing off of each other, and have great chemistry.

It is so great to have the gang back together. I’m starting to think that these breaks in between seasons help the show and make the fans just wanting it more.

Futurama Season 11 premieres on Hulu, July 24th.

If you don’t watch it, then bite my shiny metal ass.
