Today Skybound and Image Comics, in collaboration with leading toy and game company Hasbro, revealed a stunning lineup of variant covers for Void Rivals #7, which kicks off the second story arc of the blockbuster series from the Oblivion Song team of Robert Kirkman (Invincible, The Walking Dead) and Lorenzo De Felici (Kroma), along with colorist Patricio Delpeche (The Sandman Universe: Nightmare Country), and letterer Rus Wooton (Fire Power). The next chapter of the space epic hits comic book shops on March 6, 2024.
Each issue of Void Rivals promises to take readers further into the Energon Universe, with more familiar faces to appear. Following the shocking ending of Void Rivals #6, Darak and Solila traverse the northern wasteland. Danger lurks around every corner. The first six issues of Void Rivals are collected in Void Rivals Vol. 1 (Lunar Code 1223IM247, ISBN: 9781534398184 | SRP: $16.99), which will be available at comic book shops and everywhere books are sold on February 21, 2024.
The Energon Universe officially began last summer with the surprise first appearance of iconic TRANSFORMERS character Jetfire in Void Rivals #1 , introducing the historic new collaboration between Hasbro and Skybound, with TRANSFORMERS and G.I. JOE comics finding a new home with the publisher. Then TRANSFORMERS from writer/artist Daniel Warren Johnson (Extremity, Do a Powerbomb, DC’s Wonder Woman: Dead Earth) and colorist Mike Spicer (Stillwater, Murder Falcon) kicked off a brand-new era for the iconic franchise.
