EISNER NOMINATIONS

Zoop’s Been Nominated!

The crowdfunding platform is proud to announce it’s 2024 Eisner Nominees

ZOOP PROJECTS AND CREATORS NOMINATED FOR MULTIPLE EISNERS

Every year, the comics industry comes together to honor the work done by creators in the field. This year, Zoop has the honor of having 3 nominations for projects that originated on the platform.

Comics For Ukraine, the anthology put together by Editor extraordinaire, Scott Dunbier garnered 2 nominations.  One for Best Anthology, and another for Best Short Story, “Talking to a Hill,” by Larry Hancock and Michael Cherkas, which was included in the project.  At last years awards, Dunbier was honored with the Bob Clampett Humanitarian Award for this very same project.
Another nomination is for British comics legend, Bryan Talbot.  His book “Bryan Talbot: Father of the British Graphic Novel” is nominated in the Best Comics Related Book category under his publishing banner,  Brianstorm Studios, with co-writer, J.D. Harlock.
And while their projects that were nominated are not currently on Zoop, these two Eisner Nominated creators do currently have projects live on Zoop.  Patrick Horvath was nominated for Best New Series for his IDW series, “Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees”. His book, Free For All is currently funded and has just about 2 weeks left in its campaign.
Veteran creator, Tim Seeley was also nominated in the same Best New Series category for his book “Local Man”, with Tony Fleecs.  Tim’s long running comic, Hack/Slash also picked up a nomination for Best Writer/Artist for Zoey Thorogood’s run on “Hack/Slash: Back To School”.  Hack/Slash: The Card Game is currently funding on Zoop right now, as Zoop’s first licensed property to be turned into a tabletop game.
Zoop’s CEO, Jordan Plosky says “we are incredibly proud of the work that originates on our platform.  And when it is recognized this way from our peers in the industry, it is incredibly fulfilling.  We congratulate those creators nominated, and are wishing them all luck at the awards this year.”
