Today Crusade Comics Rocketeer: Pavlichenko Special Art Edition! Kickstarter Campaign Takes Flight.

The 32-page, Rocketeer: Pavlichenko Special Art Edition! will feature the original short story, plus pages of never-before published concept artwork, including rough layouts, pencils, inks, and script. We will also explore just who this extraordinary young Ukrainian woman was and remember the Rocketeer’s legendary creator.
In Rocketeer: Pavlichenko, our hero, Cliff Secord, encounters the real-life, Ukrainian sniper Lyudmila Pavlichenko in the Crimean Mountains during World War II. Lyudmila was credited with over 300 kills during World War II, making her the most successful female sniper in recorded history and as you’ll find out, she is going to have to put all those skills to the test to save our hero.
In essence this art special is a wonderful behind the scenes insight on comic book story creation and a project I am extremely proud of featuring my personal comic book hero, Dave Stevens and my favorite all-time character. Joining me on The Rocketeer: Pavlichenko is colorist Brian Miller and designer/letterer Mindy Lopkin.
Crusade is offering three variants on the campaign, The Special Art Edition, The Silver Nitrate Variant and the signed and numbered, Actual Metal Cover Edition. Also offered is a reduced-priced book bundle and the story’s original roughs, pencils and inks by Billy Tucci.
