The color process for Shi: Gatecrasher! is about to begin.
The first thirty of Crusade Comics’ 56-page, full-color, original graphic novel featuring Coffin Comics’ Lady Death, Stan Sakai’s Usagi Yojimbo and the world’s greatest public domain heroes are set to be formatted and sent off to Hi-Fi Colour Design next week.
“I’m very excited for Shi: Gatecrasher to move into the color and lettering stages of production.” Stated Shi-creator Billy Tucci. “Designer/production manager/letterer Mindy Lopkin will be readying the pages for color and once they start coming in, I will share them with our amazing backers. I cannot recall having so much fun producing a book. Covering varying genres, decades and styles has me, J.C. Vaughn and editor Steven Peros loving every minute of it!”
Gatecrasher is on pace to become Crusade Comics’ biggest crowdfunded original graphic novel ever with it being the very first Shi Kickstarter to break the hallowed six-figure threshold alongside Indiegogo. The Long Island-based publisher’s 11th crowdfunding dual-beneficiary campaign totals already surpassing over $207,000.00,
Due to the many requests, Shi: Gatecrasher will remain open for “late pledges.” The Kickstarter will continue so for the foreseeable future though many of our specialty perks will be removed once production begins. If you’d like to pledge, you can do so here:

Shi: Gatecrasher writer, J.C. Vaughn has just launched AL CAPONE, VAMPIRE Catch-Up Campaign on the new crowdfunding FundMyComic. The short campaign, lasting just 14 days – gives readers a “last chance” to catch up on JCV’s critically acclaimed Al Capone, Vampire and Vampire, PA graphic novel series.
