Falling in Love on the Path to Hell – A Fistful of Inks
Now Live On Zoop
The Image Comics Hit Re-formats for Zoop!
Launching today on the Zoop crowdfunding platform is Falling in Love on the Path to Hell – A Fistful of Inks from superstar writer Gerry Duggan (X-Men, Deadpool) and veteran artist Garry Brown (Catwoman, Star Trek/ Green Lantern) . The title is currently being released by Image Comics as a monthly publication, but this campaign is offering fans something different.
The newly launched campaign is for an oversized black and white art book version of the story. The book will feature multiple issues of the comic, as well as backmatter sharing process work and “making of” content. Aside from the book alone, rewards include signatures from the creative team, sketches, opportunities for original art, and even more stretch goals. The duo are also offering favorable deals for retailers as well.
The sun set on samurai and gunslingers at roughly the same time, but our two leads didn’t die off quietly. In the East, Asami, an Onna-musha warrior and female samurai, would rather die with her weapons than surrender them to a sword hunt. In the West, the gunslinger MacRaith follows his revenge to the bitter end and pays the ultimate price.
The future lovers are mortally wounded a world apart and awake together in a purgatory ruled by a ruthless society of damned warriors. This one has it all—action, the dead, the dying, the undead, and of course…romance.
The campaign will be live for 30 days, and mark the first time an active, ongoing series from a major publisher has been crowdfunded on Zoop.
