“A heartfelt thank you for a fantastic Ran: Revenge of the Warrior Indiegogo launch!” Exclaimed writer-artist Billy Tucci. “Ran is now approaching $40K in the campaign’s first 24 hours, and Deborah and cannot express our humble astonishment and appreciation to everyone who backed the campaign’s faith and support!”
Ran is a comic that is thirty-five years in the making, as the character is Tucci’s first and the one that evolved into Tucci’s multi-Eisner Award nominee, Shi. The campaign has already unlocked it first Stretch Goal, the Ran Hardcover Trading Card FREE to all backers who pledged for a physical perk.

Ran is the character that inspired Tucci’s legendary comic book character, Shi. In the past thirty-years Shi has garnered accolades, sold millions of comics and along with Brian Pulido’s Lady Death and Vampirella, launched the Bad Girl genre.
But Revenge of the Warrior, an all-new, original 48-page, full color graphic novel, explores Tucci’s first creation and in her most raw and savage form.
Set within the violent, neon-lit, Kabukichō district of Tokyo 1993, Revenge of the Warrior details one young woman’s battle for justice against American sex-trafficking, ex-pat killers aligned with the notorious Yakuza crime syndicate.

This sexy, no holds barred, neon-noir samurai macabre that pulls no punches and offers no mercy will be available on the newly reconstructed, Indiegogo until Friday, November 14, 2025.
Ran: Revenge of the Warrior is scheduled to launch on Kickstarter, Thursday, November 13th.
