Rob Liefeld’s long-awaited return to Youngblood rocketed up the charts to become the #1 best selling Image comic last month, and it shows no signs of slowing down. Both Youngblood (2025) #1 and Youngblood (2025) #2 have sold out completely at the distributor level ahead of tomorrow’s release. Image Comics has fast-tracked reprints of both in order to keep pace with the series’ acceleration.
Fans are advised to hit their comic shop tomorrow morning as soon as doors open for a chance to snag the remaining inventory from the shelves.
“I cannot express the full appreciation I have to everyone who jumped back into the deep end of the Youngblood pool with me,” said Liefeld. “There’s room in the tent for fans young and old! We are committed to making this reader friendly, entry level storyline in print as long as demand persists! Deep gratitude for the continued support!”
In Youngblood #1, the Team is summoned to a crisis in the Pacific as a mysterious vessel appears and a deadly nemesis is revealed!
The original Youngblood #1 marked the opening salvo in the Image Revolution and remains one of the bestselling independent comics of all time with sales over one million copies. With Liefeld finally back at the helm of his signature creation, Youngblood is in full power mode once again.

Select praise for Youngblood:
“Comics as a whole are better off when there’s a Rob Liefeld Youngblood comic on the stands. Rob always brings the fast-paced high octane action spectacle you’re looking for but I love that there’s always some kind of new idea or innovation present in everything he does. If this series isn’t on your pull list, you must like dull comics so I can’t help you. Why are you reading this?” —Robert Kirkman, Invincible, The Walking Dead
“Rob’s Youngblood is back where it belongs in every conceivable way, including the top of my reading pile. BADROCK FOR LIFE.” —Geoff Johns, Geiger, Doomsday Clock
“Wall-to-wall Youngblood action!! This isn’t nostalgia, it’s not a remake or a ’90s throwback—this is one of comics’ all time most explosive talents, showing the rest of us what pure adrenaline looks like on the page. In case you forgot.” —Tony Fleecs, Local Man, Stray Dogs, Feral
