A Futuristic Sci-Fi Murder Mystery Set in the World of the Shattered Realm

Exclusively Available from Comixology Originals, The Whisper War Begins February 10, 2026

Hot on the heels of Marc Guggenheim’s hit comic book series The Adventures of Ulysses Monarch with Comixology Originals, the Emmy Award-winning writer and acclaimed showrunner is creating an all-new futuristic sci-fi murder mystery with a provocative idea at its core. The Whisper War is a five-issue thriller written by Guggenheim (Star Wars, Spider-Man & Wolverine) who is joined by artist Sedat Oezgen (Savage Sword of Conan), colorist Carlos Cabrera, letterer Dave Sharpe, and designer Travis Escarfullery. The first issue of The Whisper War debuts digitally on February 10, 2026, from Amazon’s Comixology Originals exclusive digital content line.

“This is my first time writing a comic book for a specific artist,” says Guggenheim. “In doing so, I took inspiration from Sedat’s portfolio, leaning into the images and concepts he enjoys drawing the most.”

Years ago, civil war raged across the Shattered Realm. The conflict claimed one-third of the population of the planet Imprimata. No one knows what the war was fought over. No one knows who the winning side was.

And no one remembers…anything.

Heard only through whispers, the past begins to reveal itself.

Now, in the capital city of Apperax, a murder has been committed. There are no suspects. No forensics. No theories. So when former Carabinieri cop Axel Jindari is brought out of retirement to investigate the murder, the only thing he has to go on is his intuition—and a nagging sense of déjà vu. Working alongside Officer Seeva Dessin, this murder will unravel everything he knows to be true—and maybe even history itself!

Guggenheim and Oezgen usher you into the world of the Shattered Realm on February 10, 2026.
