“5/5 […] a true masterpiece in horror.” – Justin Soderberg, Capes & Tights
“…smart genre subversion and layered character writing […] rife with atmosphere and emotion that leads down a road only our closest demons are willing to travel.” – Henry Davis, Comic Watch
A new terror has possessed the comic book industry.
Just a week after its release, IDW Publishing’s THE EXORCISM AT BUCKINGHAM #1 has sold out at the distributor level and a second print is being rushed to ensure it arrives the same day as the second issue (April 29), giving fans an easy opportunity to get both issues at once.
From series creator and horror superstar writer Hannah Rose May (SMILE: FOR THE CAMERA, THE EXORCISM AT 1600 PENN) and the terrifyingly talented artist Kelsey Ramsay (GODZILLA: HEIST, Women of Marvel: She-Devils), the chilling demonic tale torments London’s royal residence while uncovering the spine-tingling truth behind the family’s curse. “We’re sold out and going back to print! I couldn’t be more thrilled,” commented Hannah Rose May. “To see readers not just connect with THE EXORCISM AT BUCKINGHAM PALACE but demand more? That’s the response every creator dreams of. Massive thanks to retailers for their support and to readers for showing up.”
THE EXORCISM AT BUCKINGHAM PALACE is the acclaimed writer’s expansion of the THE EXORCISM AT franchise with IDW’s best-selling horror imprint IDW DARK. The prior hit series, THE EXORCISM AT 1600 PENN (graphic novel on sale now), also received rave reviews and is currently in development for film with Blumhouse-Atomic Monster. Hannah Rose May and IDW Publishing CEO Davidi Jonas are serving as executive producers.
THE EXORCISM AT BUCKINGHAM PALACE #1 second printing – featuring new cover by Damien Worm – goes on sale April 29, the same day as THE EXORCISM AT BUCKINGHAM #2. According to Collier Jennings’ early review of the next issue on AIPT, the second chapter “doesn’t let up on the horror” and the reviewer was left “fully hypnotized by this series.”
Fans need to pre-order both comics by this Monday (March 23) to guarantee copies, or they may feel haunted by missing out…
