About the Comic Book Club of Ithaca

The Comic Book Club of Ithaca, the second-longest-running comic book club in the country, grew out of a middle-school comic book club and was formally established as a non-profit community organization fifty years ago. The first ITHACON took place in 1976 and featured 2 comics and professional guests. Since then, ITHACON has grown considerably but continues to be a fan-focused event.

In recent years, ITHACON has collaborated with Ithaca College’s School of Business to create a unique, hands-on learning experience for students. Like ITHACON on Facebook and follow @ITHACON on X, Instagram, and Tik Tok to stay up-to-date and receive exclusive access to the days leading up to the comic convention and more. Ithacon proudly accommodates all patrons. Individuals requiring accommodations are asked to contact aoshry@ithaca.edu to request services as soon as possible.
