I really like this comic and this issue is the funniest yet.
I forgot how clever Rocko’s humour was but this issue brings it straight back to the fore as Rocko, Filbert and Heffer search for a cure for the zombie virus. The humour mixes an innocent intention that yields a very different result that is just brilliant, my favourite being how they narrowed the internet search to avoid results about children’s viruses. It’s subtle but effective and brought back memories of the show.
The social commentary is less subtle but equally clever as the source of the outbreak is revealed and it’s clear that the evil con Glomo doesn’t want to help after all. Filbert is excellent as he descends into zombiehood, I love his background commentary as he discovers from a male chatroom the real reason no girl wants him. It really is funny stuff I can’t wait to read the concluding issue
