Playmobil releases a second awesome wave of Scooby-Doo!
As if we didn’t get enough Scooby-Doo goodness the first time around, Playmobil just upped the ante with the awesome playset, Adventure in the Mystery Mansion. This set is pretty cool.
It comes with 4 figures: Fred, Daphne, Scooby-Doo, and “Dracula”. I really like the way they incorporate the Sooby look into the Playmobil figure mold. Dracula has 2 faces so you can have that “And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for you meddling kids” moment. Very important in Scooby lore! And Scooby looks like he popped out of the TV. This one has a deerstalker cap you can put on his head.
The Mystery Mansion is pretty sick in itself. There are 3 levels to it and tons of hidden fun within it. The stairs can retract so characters can slide down. There’s a hidden room behind the bookcase. A hidden space under the floor that hides the treasure. A trapdoor that’s triggered when you adjust a picture. A chandelier that can come crashing down. And a chimney that can hide things and then come out of the fireplace.
Plus this set is totally interactive in 2 ways. First, the set comes what looks like a coffin. It’s actually a project for these clear file cards, and a sound effects machine. There are traditional sounds like creaking and the wind, but also sound you might remember from the cartoon, like the “sneaking” bones sound.
The other interactive is an AR app. You take off the trapdoor and put this piece clear plastic where it is. Then using your phone with the app, you can project things like ghosts or creepy eyes with a 3D effect.
To top it off, this set comes with a TON of accessories from a grandfather clock, to glasses, to rats and bats. Seriously a ton of play-action that can be done here.
Don’t believe me? Well, then let’s see what Sean thinks of it:
So there you go! This set is a must-have. It’s really a lot of fun!
So many thanks to Playmobil for sending us this amazing set to check out!
