Final 24-Hour Perks Added, Including a special reduced-price Indemand Edition, Sketch Cover Editions and Original Art!

Backers from over 25 countries successfully funded Crusade Comics’ ninth Kickstarter, The Shi #1 30th Anniversary Original Art Edition. The book officially closes on Indiegogo “Indemand” mode tomorrow.

Since its launch the special hardcover The Shi #1 30th Anniversary Original Art Edition #NoFanLeftBehind dual campaign strategy on both the Kickstarter and Indiegogo crowdfunding platforms have surpassed $100,000.

Celebrating Thirty-Year’s of Billy Tucci’s multi-Eisner Award nominee, The 30th Anniversary Original Art Edition is the complete and seminal “Story of Shi”. A 112-page, hardcover coffee table sized collection that is literally 30-years in the making. The omnibus-sized tome contains the complete and remastered original 32-page, Shi: Way of the Warrior #1 plus over seventy additional original pencils/inks and hand-painted colored interior pages, cover designs, and insight into creative process and development.

“Thank you all so much for an amazing campaign!” Stated Shi-creator Billy Tucci. “We are in the final hours before closing and are excited to announce several final perks to show our appreciation to all the Tucci Troopers out there.”

The first of these “final 24-hour” perks on the Indiegogo Indemand is the Shi: Way of the Warrior #1 Original Art Edition.

This reduced-price hardcover is the same as Crusade’s sold-out book, but it does not come with the wrap-around dust jacket or sewn-in-satin bookmark.

SHI #1 PURE-LINE SKETCH EDITIONS!

Crusade is also offering a limited edition Shi: Way of the Warrior #1 sketch cover specials featuring Billy Tucci’s original b/w artwork, remastered alongside the original word balloons to show Shi: The Way of the Warrior #1  in its purest form. Two versions are available, the first is the blank cover (Crusade’s most affordable perk) and the prestige version that comes with an original, one-of-a-kind colored pencil cover.  Both versions can be found here:

FINAL 24-HOUR ORIGINAL ART EXCLUSIVE OFFER!

Speaking of one-of-a-kind originals, Crusade is also offering TWO BILLY TUCCI ORIGINAL SHI COVERS for the campaign’s final day. The first is “Sultry Secrets” featuring Tucci’s sensual sohei warrior enticing the viewer to explore an unknown riddle, while the second, “Shi: Peek-A-Boo” shows the fun side of Ana Ishikawa as she unzips her black pencil dress exposing playfully tantalizing lingerie’ ala, Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

“Again, thank you for an amazing campaign.” Stated Tucci. “I have been hard at work on commissions, Shi: Gatecrasher and the upcoming San Diego Comic Con Specials. I am so proud of this book and its place in “shi-story” and I cannot wait for you all to read it.”

Crusade will be posting special SDCC pre-order information next week. The publisher will unveil a series limited exclusives that will be offered via www.billytucci.com to those who cannot make it to San Diego.  Tucci surmised that, “As always, we set aside a small number of products for our Tucci Troopers, so even though if you cannot join us in San Diego, you will get just as much a chance as the attendees to be a part of our Crusade family.”
