Mirka Andolfo, Patrick Horvath, Yul-Pyeong Oh & Puré Headline the Valentine’s Day One-Shot

Creepshow is here to make sure you have a bloody good time this Valentine’s Day! Today Skybound and Image Comics announced the creative talent behind an all-new horrific Hearts Day issue, Creepshow in Love #1. This one-shot of the Eisner Award nominated comic book anthology based on Greg Nicotero’s hit Shudder TV series produced and licensed by Cartel Entertainment will hit comic book shops on February 12, 2025.

Brian Witten is overseeing on behalf of Nicotero’s Monster Agency Productions.

Romance + Creepshow? This three-course special is for all the lonely hearts out there! First, murderous Mirka Andolfo (Sweet Paprika) spins a horrifying yarn about the Valentine’s Day Killer in “Madness of Two”! Then, petrifying Patrick Horvath (Beneath The Trees Where Nobody Sees) concocts a love potion for a “Cursed Casanova”! Finally, yelpin’ Yul-Pyeong Oh and paranormal Puré invite you to the zoo for the worst first date ever in “Penguin Avenger”!

“The Creep is taking over for Cupid this year, and we can’t wait to show readers why Valentine’s Day is the most horrifying holiday of all!” said Alex Antone, Editorial Director at Skybound.

In addition to the main cover by Chris Burnham (Batman Incorporated) & Brian Reber (Black Cat), Creepshow in Love #1 comes with a variant cover lineup that includes an open to order cover by Mirka Andolfo and a 1:10 incentive cover by Patrick Horvath.

Also currently releasing monthly, Creepshow Volume 3 boasts an all-star creative roster that includes Chip Zdarsky (Batman), Kagan McLeod (Kaptara), James Stokoe (Godzilla), Eugenio Mira (Grand Piano), John Ridley (12 Years a Slave), Jorge Fornés (Rorschach), Stefano Raffaele (Detective Comics), John Arcudi (B.P.R.D.), Chris Condon (That Texas Blood), Shawn McManus (Fables), Martín Morazzo (Ice Cream Man), Mike Carey (Lucifer), Mark Torres (Cold Spots), Acky Bright (DC vs Vampires), Ed Brisson (Batman), cover artist Kael Ngu (making his interior work debut), Kami Garcia (Teen Titans: Raven), and Isaac Goodhart (Catwoman).

Creepshow fans can also bring home the 2024 holiday special issue on December 18 (Lunar Code 1023IM268), featuring two ho-ho-horrifying stories. First, A New Year’s Eve party gets fiendish as Tini Howard (Catwoman), Blake Howard (Punchline), and Stevan Subic (The Riddler: Year One) will have you crying for your mummy in the new year! Then, beloved comedian Terry Reno revisits a holiday classic, from the Petrol Head team of Rob Williams and Pye Parr, that quickly takes a shocking turn before a live studio audience!

The 2023 Eisner Award-nominated Creepshow Vol. 1, which collects the first five issues of the anthology, is now available everywhere books are sold (Lunar Code: 0623IM919, ISBN: 978-1-5343-2480-0 | SRP: $14.99). Its first-class creative roster includes Chris Burnham (Die! Die! Elsewhere in the Creepshow franchise, Creepshow: The Suspense-Building Game recently became available on the Skybound e-commerce store. The wicked story-building tabletop game makes players become Creeps and weave twisted tales where dastardly deviants meet well-earned demises. You’ll need strategy and cunning for this game, and to know when to push your luck because deception could be waiting at every turn. Creeps create chains of story cards and secretly fill them with Suspense. At key moments in the story, when tension is highest, Creeps can bet on the amount of Suspense to score big. But beware of other Creeps sabotaging the story, you just may lose your head!

The Creepshow comic miniseries deal was brokered by Striker Entertainment.

Creepshow in Love #1 (SRP $4.99) will be available at comic book shops and digital platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
