After graduating with a BFA in Painting, Randy Green worked for several advertising agencies as an artist/art director and did some comic book work on the side. During this time, he worked mostly for Dark Horse and Image. Eventually, Randy was able to get enough steady work to pursue comic book art full-time, working for Marvel, DC Comics, and others as well. Top Cow’s Witchblade was his first long run as an artist on a title and opened the doors to many other opportunities, including Tomb Raider and a short-run creator-owned title, Dollz which he hopes to do more with in the future. Afterwards, he continued on some more work at Marvel on Emma Frost and New X-Men Academy X, always managing to squeeze in a project or cover for some of the comic companies here and there. In recent years, Randy has been doing most of his work behind the scenes for Disney Parks, and has had several books come out through Dark Horse and Aspen Comics, as well as several indie creators, and is currently working on a title, Stopwatch, written by Beau Smith coming soon from Clover Press.
Randy has been working comics full-time for nearly two decades now, and enjoys life in the country with his family, wife Amy, and children Haley and Max.
Torunn Grønbekk is a Norwegian comic book writer and portrait painter. She is best known for her work for Dynamite and Marvel, like Red Sonja, Thor, Punisher: War Journal, Valkyrie, and Venom. She lives and works in Norway (and sometimes in her cabin in the Swedish woods).
She has recently worked on Realm of X, Venom, Red Sonja, and Carnage.
Andrew Robinson has painted covers for all the major publishers, illustrating such titles as Batman Detective, Hawkman, Starman, Superman Rebirth, Iron Man, Hydra, Star Wars, Black Panther, and The JSA. He is a multi-award winning, New York Times best-selling illustrator for his painted work on the graphic novel, The Fifth Beatle. More of his sequential work can be seen in Batman Black and White #5, The Ride: My Brother’s Keeper, Gen 13, Dusty Star, and Harley Quinn. Most recently, Andrew has painted covers for Rick Remender’s new Image book, Scumbag. Also, he illustrated issue 2. Andrew lives in Altadena, CA. You can follow Andrew on instagram @spacejunkees. Matt Slay has worked in comics for 15 years, but quickly made a name for himself painting variant covers for IDW’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. His dark and earthy watercolors bring a grown-up sense of danger to any character. Born in St. Michaels and raised in Easton, the Maryland native now paints for the sci-fi anthology series Time Traveled Tales with authors such as Timothy Zahn. Matt has generated production art for Marvel Premiere as well as Iron Man 3, and has since provided covers for Six Gun Gorilla and American Mythology’s Equilibrium while writing his own book and cartoon series, 3 Story Dungeon. Matt is represented by Comic Art House.
David F. Walker is a writer, filmmaker, and educator. He is the award-winning writer of Big Jim and the White Boy, The Black Panther Party: A Graphic Novel History, co-creator of the series Bitter Root, and author of the critically acclaimed YA novel, The Second Chance of Darius Logan. Walker is a Sagittarius who has worked for Marvel, DC, Dynamite, BOOM! Studios, and Dark Horse.
David is appearing Saturday and Sunday only.
Lee Weeks is an award-winning comic book artist and sometime writer known for Batman, Superman, Daredevil, and Hulk, among many others. His breakthrough came drawing a Daredevil run that culminated in the noirish, “Fall of the Kingpin” storyline in the 1990s.
Lee received a Best Artist award for his work on Batman, while his collaboration with Tom King on Batman vs. Elmer Fudd garnered a couple more awards…and a gazillion strange looks. His recent work can be found in the pages of Superman: Home Again.
Lee has occasionally taught at the famed Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art, where he himself studied under Joe in the 1980s. He resides in Pennsylvania with his wife, Tish.
Rumor has it he knows a couple good card tricks.
“We’re bringing in such a wide variety of amazing talent,” said Marc Nathan, show promoter for the Baltimore Comic-Con. “This year, fans will be able to interact with international superstars, industry veterans, award-winning writers and artists, and creators from all segments of the comics and graphic novel industry.
