Joey Lauren Adams aka Gwen Turner from Mallrats is officially joining Super Jersey Comic Expo: Summer Spectacular on August 29th in Hillsborough, NJ!
We’re now FOUR cast members deep into a Mallrats lineup for our celebrities,
so maybe it isn’t just a coincidence after all! This will be Ms. Adams’ first New Jersey appearance in quite some time, especially with her fellow Mallrats cast mates
Joey Lauren Adams is an actress-writer-director who has appeared in over 30 films such as Dazed and Confused, Big Daddy, Mallrats, Bio-Dome and The Break Up. She earned a Golden Globe nomination as best leading actress for her work in Chasing Amy. She wrote and directed the film, Come Early Morning, starring Ashley Judd, which was selected by Sundance and nominated for the Grand Jury Prize. The film also garnered Adams the Women In Film Dorothy Arzner Directors Award. She next penned a script based on a Texas Monthly article that was purchased by Courtney Cox and Coquette Productions
