“It’s my hope that people are inherently good and will do the right thing… but the rogues always test that…”
It’s the third chapter of the Rogues Reloaded arc, and it ain’t getting any easier for the scarlet speedster. Joshua Williamson ensures that consistency of the narrative, as well as the momentum of the story, are always tight and intact. The structure and pace of the story are written so well that it’s a very fast read. I’m really enjoying this arc, putting the Flash against each member of the Rogues and displaying just how dangerous they are individual as they are even more dangerous collectively. The setup of Captain Cole’s plan is well handled and shows that cold is a much more formidable foe than he is believed to be.
Giandomenico’s art continues to spark power and narrative flow whenever characters interact, battle or Zoom by. His Flash is always consistent, and enjoyable to read. His panel layouts and sequential are easy to follow and don’t detract from the overall narrative flow. Infused with Plascencia’s color work, it makes the pages burst with static energy whenever powers are being exchanged and displayed in battle between the Flash and the Rogues. Steve Wands letters continue to place the dialogue where they need to be and keep the art and story in sync. It’s a very enjoyable arc and a very enjoyable issue. I can’t wait to see how this arc concludes.
