Eleven Festive Fables, or rather four kinds of Xmassy tales and some stories that probably are set at Xmas because there is a tree somewhere in it
A little disappointed in this, to be honest, I was expecting a jovial jaunt through the dc holidays but instead, most of it is pretty depressing. There are a few moments of note like the Green Arrow who tries to tone down the bloodshed when he’s wearing a Santa suit (not cut out, of course, just tone down haha) and the final panel is a pretty decent ending bit a little lackluster for the most.
I was always waiting for the disconnected tales to intertwine later for a big finale that connected everything but it just didn’t happen. Most of the stories were good just not festive in my opinion or very very tenuously linked.
A few of the tales gave a nice little insight to some of the characters like the Teen Titans and Wonder Woman who at least had a little feeling behind the tales and The Green Arrow was as playful as ever so it is worth a read just not quite as HoHoHo as I expected.
