We start off with 2 priests using a Golem to fight off witches,  one of them is against it while the other sees it as a necessary evil.

It turns out this is a recurring dream (although I suspect a memory instead)  of Joe, a detective who deals pretty specifically in the ‘weird’ cases. He stays with Mr. Church and has to sneak his girlfriend in and out so not to let Mr. Church know that she stays. I don’t trust her at all and think she knows far more than she’s letting on.

Mr Church and Joe are asked to look into a case of a man attacking and killing civilians and police on a boat with witnesses accounts all suggesting that it definitely falls into Joe wheelhouse so he agrees to take the case but gets more than he bargained for as his suspect implies that there is something sinister going on and he is already unwittingly involved but he kills himself before he can give out a straight answer.

The artwork really lends itself to the dark gritty surroundings and plot which has really intrigued me, I can’t wait to see how the dreams and Mr. Church link together.
