For this Holiday issue, we are taken back in time to the Hole World where Wizord Ruby and the like are all still cowed to Sizzajee and Cornwall isn’t dead.

There are some really nice little touches in this issue I love the fact that the fairy lights are actual fairies strung up along the walls and the less said about Sizzajees Xmas jumper the better. Wizord is somehow even cockier than he is now and takes great pleasure in winding Lady Violet and Cornwall up about the Xmas Hunt they are away on but knowing what is revealed later you can see why he would be so cocky towards them.

The outcome of the hunt is somehow less important than the presents Sizzajee hands out as it shows a sort of pecking order to the 9 we haven’t seen before and there is no hiding whos at the bottom!

Ruby’s “ancient artifact” (an iPod) made me smile as its nice to see a warrior like Ruby stood chilling out to some beats before propositioning Wizord to a party at hers! It’s pretty cool to see a little backstory of how the 9 interacted before Wizord came to claim earth and a little more insight into the Hole world as a whole as well.
